Raw data from AUV missions ANA14B_01, ANA14B_02 and ANA14B_03 from the RVIB Araon expedition ANA14B in Jan - Feb 2024.
The following data set contains the raw data from the first three AUV missions that were conducted during the ANA14B expedition to Thwaites glacier in 2024. The missions were conducted following the seabed at altitude 50 - 90 m. The raw data contains the complete data sets and are not post processed regarding navigation, calibration of the sensors, or gridded. This data set will be connected to the updated post processed and gridded files when these become available.
The folder tree is described in the document folder_tree.pdf.
The contents of the zip-files are listed in the documentation files ANA14B_01.filelist.txt, ANA14B_02.filelist.txt and ANA14B_03.filelist.txt, and the SHA-256 checksums are contained in sha256sums.txt.

This dataset was produced with support from the OCEAN ICE project (Ocean-Cryosphere Exchanges in Antarctica: Impacts on Climate and the Earth System), funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe Grant Agreement No. 101060452. The dataset contains complete raw observations from the ANA14B_01, ANA14B_02 and ANA14B_03 Ran AUV missions. Navigation correction, sensor calibration and gridding have not been applied; post-processed and gridded products are expected to be linked by the source repository when available.

The dataset contains raw observations acquired during the first three Ran Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) missions, ANA14B_01, ANA14B_02 and ANA14B_03, performed during the ANA14B RVIB Araon expedition to the Amundsen Sea, West Antarctica, between 7 and 17 January 2024. The missions followed the seabed at approximately 50–90 m altitude and included observations beneath the Thwaites ice-shelf environment. The dataset represents the complete raw observations acquired during these missions. Navigation correction, sensor calibration and gridding have not been applied. File organisation and contents are documented through the accompanying folder-tree description, file description and mission-specific inventories, and SHA-256 checksums are provided for integrity verification.
