The experiment branches from the FESOM2 reference circumpolar simulation in 1991 and modifies the ice-shelf-related temperature and salinity forcing associated with the West and Shackleton ice shelves. The dataset provides model output south of 60°S and was produced to investigate the influence of these ice shelves on Southern Ocean circulation within the OCEAN ICE project.
